McKinstry & Division - Fee Schedule

Hourly Fees

As a general matter, we avoid charging hourly fees. We generally try to estimate the average time in advance and commit to a flat fee or a contingency fee. However, sometimes hourly charges are appropriate. In such cases, our standard hourly rate is $200 per hour. We are always happy to discuss potential fees and costs in advance.

Contingent Fees

Contingent fees on commercial collection cases are typically 40% for cases under $1500, and 33% for cases in excess of $1500.

Contingent fees for consumer/retail collections are generally 40% for anything over $1000 and 50% for accounts under $1000.

Contingent fees on bankrutpcy fraud adversary cases are 50% of any amounts recovered.

NSF Check Collections

We collect on NSF checks for free. We return the full face value of the check to our clients. In addition, we give our clients a $5 rebate on each NSF check fee collected. Payment to our clients is made on a weekly basis through direct deposits into our clients account.

Flat Fees

If we are working on a flat fee basis, the fees are paid regardless of recovery. For some larger accounts, this makes more sense than contingency fees. On the other hand, the fee is paid regardless of recovery. We are happy to discuss the options. In a standard situation, the following are charged for flat fee cases:
